A near-extremal quasar viewed almost straight down the jet axis. The approaching limb of the disk is beamed to nineteen times the luminosity of the receding limb. Surrounding stellar population is depleted to below detection limits within 40 parsecs, consistent with tidal disruption over the preceding gigayear.
You are ionised by the disk's own radiation field roughly four thousand kilometres before tidal forces become relevant.
